- Sekumpul Waterfall - Known as the tallest waterfall in Bali, this spot boasts picturesque hiking stops throughout the trail and unique rock formations that allow you to take in the surrounding nature. Not many know, but Sekumpul actually has a twin fall beside it that’s not as high so if you want to enjoy a more peaceful swim, this is the place to go.
- Aling-aling Waterfall - This natural wonder is not just a single waterfall, but a whole series of cascades and crystal-clear pools, making it the perfect spot for cliff jumping and swimming.
- Gitgit Waterfall - This large waterfall is another popular spot that sometimes gets mixed up with other falls on the map (if you search for this, click on Gitgit Waterfall car park as that’s the correct pin). You can take a dip here but be careful not to venture out too close to the powerful falls as you might get trapped under the water.
- Banyumala Twin Waterfalls - To get to these stunning twin waterfalls, you can expect a trek of around 15 to 20 minutes. It might appear easy but prepare for a bit of exertion as the downhill paths tend to be quite steep.
- Tirta Buana Waterfall - After a 45-minute trek, you’ll spot this hidden gem that stands around 15 meters high. It has three natural springs at the top that flow along a sloping rock face to the pool below.
- Nungnung Waterfall - Hidden deep in the lush jungles of Bali, this iconic spot is actually one of the most renowned waterfalls on the island. And although the journey to get here is tough (around 500 steps to and from the starting point) you’ll be rewarded with majestic views of the falls.

5. Learn about Balinese flora at Bali Botanical Garden

The trek to the summit starts with a walk through coffee and fruit plantations, going deeper into the rainforest, and passing a nearby village, before finally reaching the temple at the top.

Get a taste of Bali’s one-of-a-kind Luwak Coffee at Tegal Sari. This unique coffee is made from coffee berries retrieved from the droppings of an Asian palm civet, a small native mammal found in Southeast Asia. They’re then crushed, washed, sterilized, and ground to make Luwak coffee.

There are many coffee farms throughout Bali but this is one of the most popular spots, allowing visitors to see the Asian palm civets and offering a look into the production process, including a taste-testing experience. There’s also a shop on the farm where you can opt to buy any of their locally-made teas and coffees.
Insider Tip: Apart from the Luwak coffee, the mangosteen tea is another tasty option that you should definitely try out!
9. Enjoy a picnic at Rumah Gemuk Bali Greenhouse

Originally built as a wedding venue, this large glass greenhouse is now also a popular restaurant. It’s filled with blooming flowers and greenery, pretty chandeliers, and spiral staircases leading to the second floor.
You can enjoy a meal with regular seating on the upper floors or opt for a nice picnic on the lower ground surrounded by the greenhouse views. For picnics, blankets and pillows are laid out on the grass and meals are served in a picnic basket for an authentic experience.
10. Take in the views at Jatiluwih Rice Terraces
Experience a glimpse of rural life in Bali by taking a trip down to Jatiluwih Rice Terraces. This farming community near Ganung Batukaru lets you walk or cycle through different parts of the terraces, jump over tiny rivers, and take in the surrounding views. For anyone traveling to Bedugul, it’s a must to make a pit stop at the vibrant traditional market on the edge of Lake Beratan. Overflowing with fresh fruit stalls and must-try tea and coffee spots, it’s a good place to grab some snacks before you tour the nearby floating temple and botanical gardens.
You can also head over to the clothes and handmade goods area at the back to find souvenirs to remember your trip by.
