Guizhou

Guizhou may not have the same towering skyscrapers as Beijing and Shanghai, but it is home to a wealth of rich natural resources and cultural heritage. It is also one of China's most ethnically diverse regions with hill tribe groups like the Hmong and Yao making up a large minority of the entire population.

The region is most known for its hot, spicy, and sour dishes iconic of Qian cuisine. Don't leave without first trying some Suan Tang Yu (sour fish soup) and local snacks with cute names like Si Wa Wa. One of Guizhou's most popular exports is Maotai Wine which earned itself the name of one of the world's best liquors!
