Good to know

Start the Krabi outback explorer day with a pickup service by van from your hotel lobby and head in a manageable group to the tropical lowland rainforest of Khaopra - Bangkhram. The rainforest is home to rare species of birds - like Gurney’s Pitta, Rufous-collared Kingfisher and Black Hornbill. A short walk through mangroves and peat swamp forest takes you to spacious Emerald Lagoon for a refreshing dip in the crystal-clear water. Here you can stroll through the lush and fragrant jungle and swim in crystal clear mineral enriched waters. A bit further you can even admire the very Blue Pool, the source if this stream.

Then it's time take a bath in hot mineral water at Krabi Hot Springs. But don't worry, you will not visit the public part of this popular tourist attraction. Instead you will enjoy the private Wareerak Spa away from the crowds. This is the highlight of the day, relax and rejuvenate in the saline mineral water measuring up to 42˚ Celsius. It is a naturally occurring volcanic spring, visited by many Thais who come to soak in the perfect bath temperature water which is believed to beneficial for health, particularly the skin.

Enjoy a Thai style lunch in a local restaurant with leisure time before heading back to your hotel or to the next highlight if you have booked on of the 2 full-day options.

The Tiger Cave Temple option will show you the secrets of Wat Tham Sua, which is one of the most famous monasteries in Southern Thailand. You can meet the monks and see how they live in the beautiful surroundings and natural serenity of the caves. If you’re feeling up to the task you are welcome to try out the 1260 steps to the top of the temple mountain and experience one of the most breathtaking views in Thailand – looking in all directions over the lush forest, limestone karsts and magnificent ocean. For the less energetic just enjoy watching the itinerant families of monkeys, who also share this temple home.

For elephant lovers, there is a great opportunity to meet and observe elephants as they enjoy their newfound freedo in Krabi's Elephant Sanctuary. Walk with these gentle giants along a stream through lush green jungle, bath them in mud and complete this unique experience by feeding them with herbs.

For kayaking lovers, there is a great opportunity to paddle on a sit-on-top kayak across the small lake of Klong Root, bypassing the many tree stumps along the way. At the end of the lake there is a small shady area in the jungle where you can have a refreshing swim in the fresh water.
