Bordeaux & South-West

Bordeaux is located in the charming region of Southwest France and traces its roots all the way back to ancient times. The city was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1998 in recognition of over 350 buildings classified as historical monuments. At the heart Bordeaux, lies the Cathedral of Saint Andrew, which dates back to the 12th century. Bordeaux is endearingly called "Port of the Moon" since it is situated on a crescent-shaped bend of the Garonne River. Some refer to the city as the wine capital of the world with its fantastic vineyards and its own wine museum, the La Cite du Vin.
