Do I need a reservation to visit? Reservations are no longer required to visit the Zoo, or Safari Park. If you already have a reservation, it will be honored and no other action is required to cancel it.

Are the Zoo and Safari Park open every day of the year? Yes! The San Diego Zoo and the Safari Park are open every day of the year, rain or shine, including ALL holidays!

Do I need to wear a cloth facial covering to visit? Facial coverings are not required for visitors in our parks.

How much is parking at the Zoo/Safari Park? The San Diego Zoo has free parking.

Do the Zoo and Safari Park have electric vehicle charging stations? Yes!

Does the Zoo/Safari Park have access for guests with disabilities? We have a variety of options to assist you and your family. In addition, there are complimentary shuttles to assist you and your party in accessing our lower canyon areas.

Can the Zoo/Safari Park store my luggage? The San Diego Zoo can store luggage for a fee.  Small items are $10 per piece; medium-size items are $12 per piece; large items are $15 per piece. The Safari Park can store luggage for a fee of $15 for the first five items, plus $15 for each additional item.

Does the Zoo/Safari Park have stroller rentals? Yes!

Can I see giant pandas at the San Diego Zoo? The San Diego Zoo giant panda loan came to a close in April 2019.  As part of the loan agreement, the pandas have returned to China.  We are proud that we have accomplished the goals set more than 25 years ago, and we are ready to work with our Chinese colleagues on the next phase of panda conservation!

Can I bring food into the parks? Yes! Guests are welcome to bring their own single-person food supply, in small containers, into our parks.

Are backpacks allowed? Guests are welcome to bring a backpack into our parks.
